This is a gorgeous, old world, rustic panel bed that would be a gorgeous addition to any bedroom in your log cabin, rustic home, ranch, or lodge. The bed is handcrafted using rustic knotty alder. We add some additional rustic character of our own to the wood. The headboard and footboard have big posts on the corners, and rustic panels set in. The headboard is 62" tall and the footboard is 37" tall. To keep the rustic look, we stain this with a dark walnut then glaze over that for color variation. The side rails are also alder and attach to the headboard and footboard with rustic, local handmade hardware. Heavy duty slats support the mattress and box foundation. Knotty alder is a really rustic wood, but can also be "elegant" rustic. We have other beautiful rustic alder bedroom pieces to complement this bed or you can mix other types of rustic, antique, log cabin or lodge style furniture with this bed.
