Kids love these rustic log bunk beds. We use 4"-4 1/2" lodgepole pine posts on these rustic bunk beds. The spindles in the headboards and footboards are straight, rustic logs. All of the log side rails are rustic logs as well, and they have cross pieces that support the bunkie board and mattress. All of the rustic logs are hand peeled so they have lots of rustic character. We do a skip peel by default, leaving some colorful bark in place, but we can also do a clean peel upon request. All of the rails are pre-drilled, so setting this up is easy with the hardware that we provide. Each end of the bed has a built-in rustic ladder that kids love, and we also sell an optional ladder that hooks over the side rails. Going to bed will be more fun with this rustic log bunk bed.
